IdentityMine is always on the forefront of the latest smartphone technology - we design and develop software applications for Windows Phone, iPhone, iPad, to name a few. Perhaps it is time to take a step back and enjoy the simple cell phones and hand held devices in life.
Smartphones have become ubiquitous in our modern society, but what about the folks that have been left behind in the wake of emerging technology? While every phone manufacturer is churning out the latest and greatest smart phones, the Space Phone from Just5 captures the essential elements from a phone. The modern-looking Space Phone was designed for people (mostly children and elderly) that needed the basic functionality of a phone - sending and receiving calls and SMS messaging.
There are two functions, in particular, that caught my attention; the first is the sound amplifying speaker for the hard of hearing and the second is the SOS button located on the back, which will automatically dial a preset emergency contact - Help! I've fallen and I can't get up! Just5 offers a simple and intuitive design with large buttons to make the phone extremely easy to use.
My question is... Why don't more phones have an SOS button?
