Every week it seems like I pick the worst day to go grocery shopping and without fail, forget to use my coupons or search for the best prices. Bargain hunting has never been a strong suit of mine, but if more shoppers had a tablet-equipped Smart Cart by SK Telecom, we would all be pros. These Smart Cart tablets sync with a grocery list app on your smartphone to provide real-time aide using indoor positioning to provide product info, tips and discounts while you shop through those crowded aisles.
The Smart Carts are WiFi enabled to offer coupons to bargain savvy shoppers. This application is still working through its trial period in China's Lotus Supermarkets, but if it proves to be worthwhile to implement, we may see these Smart Carts state side in the near future.
