Well how about this.  MediaPost news reports that while the stock prices are plummeting after missing second-quarter revenue expectations, Groupon and rival site LivingSocial are showing that mobile is clearly playing an increasingly central role in its business.  Why is that?  Well for both companies, mobile trafic now exceeds that of desktop traffic according to analyst findings by comScore.

According to CEO Andrew Mason, "We've seen our mobile users drive more incremental revenues and purchase activity than our web-only customers, with each mobile customer spending over 50% more."  Pretty impressive numbers.  What is helping, especially when a transaction is time-sensitive such as on a daily deal or auction site like eBay, is having a solid mobile app that helps consumers stay keyed in and alerted to buying opportunities.

Making the buying process easy on a smaller screen can be tricky though to take those items from the shopping cart to your bottom line, so make sure you partner with rock star interactive experience developers like IdentityMine to help you get the job done right!
