On The Floor At CES

We’ve got our troops on the floor at CES and they are ready to bring back all the juicy details. From the Mobile App Showdown to the Last Gadget Standing, CES was chock-full of enthusiastic developers and innovators ready to show why 2012 may be the biggest year yet for all things mobile. Be sure to find Chad Brown and Bruce Slywka (our resident conference gurus) to find out what IdentityMine has in store for you in the coming months.

Come talk with us for more info on what were working on and what we can do for you!

Surface 2 at CES

The Next Generation of Touch and Sensor-based Displays

Yes, it is true; the next generation Surface 2.0 boasts a 40-inch LCD screen display in high definition while retaining a slender 4-inch profile, unlike its bulky predecessor Surface V1.0. Comparing the two would be like Olympic gold medalist Hussein Bolt, challenging Fat Albert to a race; it’s simply no contest. The ability to mount the Surface 2.0 on any wall makes it ideal for displays in retail spaces (check out @Kurtbrocket’s blog post about Surface 2.0 at CES here) and has the potential to augment the medical, law enforcement, and financial industries. Surface 2.0 allows us to stray from traditional left-brain directional marketing, and brings us to the new age of experiential marketing, by incorporating human interaction and User Experience to encourage audiences to connect to the space through technology.

Surface 2!

This is just breaking as I’m following along with the LiveBlog of the “pre-keynote” press conference that Long Zheng is doing over at www.istartedsomething.com (live link)

So far the pictures look great!  Is that a vertical screen I’m seeing?

Here are the quotes from Long:

- Impressively thin table surface for Surface

- Surface 2.0 is mountable!

- Mounted Surface. Looks like a TV.

- Surface has the biggest piece of Gorilla Glass ever produced.

That is incredibly exciting.  The mounting part and the size piece were 2 of the biggest pieces of feedback from customers from Surface v1 and it seems like they have been addressed.  Now I want to know more about the “PixelSense” they announced.  Will it solve lighting issues with the cameras from v1?  Also the price point was the 4th piece of feedback.

So thin and vertically mountable are “fixed”.  Let’s see if 3) Lighting concerns and 4) price point will be addressed over the next few days.

Stay tuned as I’ll be at CES starting tomorrow and looking forward to investigating more!

What Happens In Vegas… Eventually makes its way to New York #CES #NRF

Just like one year ago we are venturing off in early January for the cross country tour that is CES and NRF.  The shows are back-to-back in Vegas and New York.  It’s going to be an exciting few days!

We’re actively developing mobile applications for Android, Windows Phone 7, and iPhone, so we’ll focus on all things mobile at CES.  We will have folks on the ground from Thursday, January 6 – Sunday, January 9.  As always, we’ll pack our calendars  with lots of meetups; drop us a note [sales ATNOSPAM identitymine.com] to set something up.  You can also ping us via twitter @identitymine.

On Sunday, January 9th  I’ll take the JetBlue shuttle to the National Retail Federation’s BIG Show 2011.  IdentityMine is working with several partners to showcase how technology can be applied in the retail  and hospitality space.  What makes this year interesting is that it’s NRF’s 100th annual show.  100!  It would be awesome to rewind back to 1911 and see what the show looked like then.  Here’s hoping NRF has an exhibit about the history of the show.  We’re excited to be celebrating IdentityMine’s 10th anniversary in 2011 – 100 years of NRF  is pretty amazing!

We will have a big presence at NRF so don’t hesitate to reach out.  You can find us in Booth #836 showing off killer new technology demos that integrate Microsoft Surface, Mobile, Tablets, and dynamic content with the Microsoft gang.  We’re rocking demos at a few other booths as well – if you’d like to see what we put together, let me know!  Read more here.

come to booth 836 to see our work!

Stay tuned over the next few weeks and the days leading up to the show as we release more news and information about the cool things you’ll see from IdentityMine early next year.  And if you’re going to be at CES or NRF, definitely let us know!  And as always – you can find us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest news.
